What’s in a name?

Well, according to an article we spotted in Estate Agent Today last week, if you live in an address with the word ‘Court’ or ‘Terrace’ in the name you might be lucking out when it comes to obtaining the best price for your property.

An analysis of Land Registry transactions for the last twelve months by property finance firm One 77 Mortgages found that homes with ‘Street’ in their address produced sale prices in line with the UK’s national average.

The picture was a little different when they analysed the least popular names for an address.

It would be wrong of us to spoil their surprise, but if you want to check out whether your address might be on the list of those that apparently we’re all prejudiced against, you’ll have to read their story direct.

All I’ll say is… don’t ‘Drift’!
