Red Book Valuations

The ‘Red Book’ is the global standards document produced by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and forms the basis for valuations that are needed for formal purposes, particularly for personal property valuations. Red book valuations are considered to be highly accurate and are consequently more readily accepted by district valuers, who advise government departments such as HMRC on matters of property value for capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and other valuation purposes.  Where there are disputes, a formal valuation is generally the most acceptable documentation, and it can be developed into an expert witness report if the need arises.

We have RICS-registered valuers, licensed to carry out Red Book valuations, including valuations for charities.
