Scrivener Tibbatts and Jimmy Anderson both share their own unique 600s

It’s crept up on me quietly, but June marked the fifth anniversary of my being made Senior Partner at Scrivener Tibbatts, writes Clive Scrivener, at the Wimbledon based firm of chartered surveyors.

None of us really noticed largely because the past five years – and the past five months in particular – have been enjoyably busy.

So perhaps it’s appropriate to take time to reflect, just for a moment, on what we’ve been doing for the last five years.

Last year we celebrated Dominik Neyerlin passing his APC qualification. The Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) ensures that candidates are competent and meet the high standards of professionalism required to become a chartered surveyor. These are a mix of technical and professional practice, interpersonal, business and management skills. Dominik is all those, and more.

This year Mike Tibbatts, the original founder of the firm, was acknowledged as one of the property sector’s unique experts by the Expert Witness Institute who elected him onto their board of directors.

Meanwhile the firm continues to chalk up its own milestones

We have been appointed to advise over 2,250 clients in the past five years. Of these 1,250 were instructions related to Lease Extensions.

However, just as Jimmy Anderson has become the first fast bowler to take 600 wickets, we too have surely achieved a unique 600 of our own. Since 2012 the firm has been successful in achieving 600 Party Wall Awards on behalf of our clients.

We are a firm recognised as specialists in our field.

However, unlike Jimmy Anderson, we’re not retiring any day soon.

Here’s to our next 600.
