Wimbledon is still busy – there’s a premium on good advice
In spite of the difficulties many local businesses are experiencing living a normal life Scrivener Tibbatts had an extremely successful first quarter.
“Fortunately we are finding that we can trade through this downturn as the access to expert surveying advice is still as important as ever,” said Clive Scrivener, Partner, Scrivener Tibbatts.
The Reuters news agency recently quoted Rightmove in this article that – not surprisingly – views to their website were 40% down at the start of lockdown but are beginning to climb up again.
“You do not have a functioning market when buyers can’t buy and sellers can’t sell, and so the focus needs to be on what is required to help the market recover once the lockdown can safely be eased,” Rightmove said.
Before the lockdown began average asking prices were 2.1% higher than the same period in 2019, it added.
Clive Scrivener continues: “If you’re looking to sell, don’t panic. The market will restart again,” he says.
