RICS ‘Red Book’ 2017 – What does this mean for our clients?
At Scrivener Tibbatts we are looking forward to the introduction of the new revised ‘Red Book’ [RICS Valuation – Global Standards 2017]. We have new guidance on ‘Conflicts of Interest’ in advising Clients, which is helpful.
A new VPS 5 (Valuation Professional Standard 5) gives Valuers greater responsibility in providing valuations for Clients. This can only be good for our Clients as we now have RICS backing to offer our professional expertise fairly, impartially and as accurately as we can possibly be in the completion of clearly defined instructions issued to us.
